Events/Announcements

  • For anyone needing to use the church facilities, please clear all activities through the church office (1) one week in advance. 
  • ‘Flowers for the Sanctuary’ are available each week for $50. Please contact the church office to place your order. 
     
  • The Smith-Parker Library invites you to stop by any Sunday morning between 9:00 & 9:30am. As you enter the library doors, to the left, you will find inspiration teaching, testimonials, Bible dictionaries, & commentaries. We also have a nice selection of fiction, including several series, which include Christian witnessing intertwined with mystery, romance, or humor. If you have inspirational materials or books in good condition that you have enjoyed, but no longer need or use, the library would be happy to consider those items as possible additions to our collection. You may drop the off in the ‘Donation Box’ in the library. Both non-fiction & fiction will be considered. 
     
  • Our next Senior Adult Luncheon will be held Thursday, August 26th at 12:00pm in Barnes Hall.  · We have a State Missions opportunity to provide the Women’s Resource Center with baby items. For the month of September, we will be accepting donations. Donation boxes are located in the kitchen in Barnes Hall.
     
  • There will not be any Sunday evening activities held on Sunday, September 5th.
     
  • FBCA has been invited to help out with this year’s ‘Love the Lake Festival’ on Saturday, Sept. 4th & Sunday, Sept. 5th. We need of 3-4 volunteers for each 2 hour block! We will be serving hamburgers & hotdogs at a booth on Saturday, 9am—6pm and Sunday,12—6pm. If you’d like to volunteer, please sign up on the church bulletin board.
     
  • The church office will be closed Monday, September 6th in observance of Labor Day.
     
  • Wednesday evening activities will be suspended on Wednesday, September 8th and Wednesday, September 15th.
     
  • Softball season is here again!!! We plan to have a Coed team & a Men’s team. Cost = $25 per person. You may sign up today on the Church Bulletin Board. Deadline to register = Sunday, September 12th. Please see Marvin Watson or Scott Maney for additional information.
     
  • There will not be any Sunday evening activities held Sunday, September 12th. 
     
  • Our next Church Conference will be held Sunday, September 19th after the evening service. This is an opportunity to learn about all that is going on throughout the life of First Baptist Acworth.
     
  • “Keystone” will be held Tuesday, September 21st, 6:30—7:30pm. Please join us for this exciting outreach ministry! 
     
  • Our next ‘Women On Mission’ meeting is Tuesday,September 14th at 2:00pm. 
     
  • Our next Senior Adult Luncheon will be held Thursday, September 23rd at 12:00pm in Barnes Hall.
